Did You Remember?

It’s V-Day, everyone! My favorite day of the year! Sadly, I haven’t gotten my own Guy Fawkes mask yet, but one day I will!
I’m not really a political person at this time in my life, but I do see that lots needs to be changed. At this point, however, I do not see that enough people would come into agreement for the changes that need to be made. Each time I watch V for Vendetta, I remember to keep my ideas alive because they are all that I will be able to leave behind when I’m gone. Even if my ideas aren’t political. Most of mine are social anyway: such as the way people should treat one another.

For you, I have compiled my favorite V quotes:

  • VoilĂ ! In view, a humble vaudevillian veteran, cast vicariously as both victim and villain by the vicissitudes of Fate. This visage, no mere veneer of vanity, is a vestige of the vox populi, now vacant, vanished. However, this valorous visitation of a by-gone vexation, stands vivified and has vowed to vanquish these venal and virulent vermin van-guarding vice and vouchsafing the violently vicious and voracious violation of volition. The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive, not in vain, for the value and veracity of such shall one day vindicate the vigilant and the virtuous. Verily, this vichyssoise of verbiage veers most verbose, so let me simply add that it’s my very good honor to meet you and you may call me V.
  • I’m not questioning your powers of observation I’m merely remarking upon the paradox of asking a masked man who he is.
  • The people should not fear their government. The government should fear their people.
  • Beneath this mask there is more than just flesh. There is an idea, and ideas are bulletproof.
  • Truth be told, if you’re looking for the guilty you need only look into a mirror.
  • God is in the rain.
  • Remember, remember the 5th of November. The gunpowder, treason, and plot. I know of no reason why the gunpowder treason should ever be forgot.
